We had a great eating experience taking the girls to Key West in January. Here are the places I definitely recommend...
Margaritaville
Blue Heaven (This is a MUST for breakfast!!!)
La Trattoria (although I recommend getting a seat in the garden)
Hogfish Cafe (not really a cafe and not really on Key West. It is on Stock Key...but it's a MUST SEE! Great seafood and an outdoor location near the shrimp docks. We went twice and the 2nd time there was live band. Lilly had a blast dancing!)
El Meson Di Pepe - overpriced, but very good Cuban food. This was our expensive night out. The girls weren't crazy about the food...but LOVED the live Cuban band!
BO's fish wagon. My vote for best conch fritters...also has out of this world Key Lime-aide. Kid friendly...they give you chalk to write on the walls!
Thai Life - A floating boat house really...near the Fly Navy building. Very good food ans the staff put up with the screaming Mimis!!

Bobby's Burger Palace
Two thumbs up!!
We went to the new burger joint created by Bobby Flay. It was fantastic. It's a simple burger restaurant with a little diner flare. It is pretty new (just opened in July) and is in the Smith Haven Mall in Smithtown. The burgers are fantastic...and are all $7.50 each. Because it is a new restaurant the high chairs aren't too beat up yet. Any burger you order can be Angus Beef, Turkey or a chicken cutlet. Keep in mind the menu is all ala carte. The staff was great. It's usually self seating...but because we had the girls with us and Lilly went immediately to emptying all the menus on the floor, they set us up with a table :-)
The girls had a turkey burger and really liked it.
Take your kids there...it's well worth it.

Rocky Point Diner
We had dinner here tonight. The girls were on pretty good behavior despite having 9 shots between them at the doctors...and Rory teething up a storm. The girls ate turkey/stuffing and broccoli. Neither were that interested...and both were much more amused by their cups of mile than anything.
The service involving the babies was excellent. Our server loved them and was very patient as we fuddled about getting them settled and ordering. There was always a server or runner to clear plates and keep the knives away from the kids. I tasted the kids food and it was excellent...not too loaded with salt as turkey can sometimes be.
It's a little pricey as diners go (over $50 for 3 adults and one childs meal...and I only had a spinach salad) but definitely worth bringing your babies!

NYC AMNH, Molyvos and Fuji Sushi
AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
Yesterday we took all three girls to the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. What an amazing place. So much to explore!! We bought a Family membership so you can expect to be hearing a lot more about this wonderful museum. If you have a monster mobile as we do you want to enter on 81st street. That is the stroller entrance. I have no clue how you would maneuver a buggy up those massive stairs in front by Central park!
Overall the museum is very kid friendly, lots of changing areas and the Discovery room which is hands on. It is a bit hard to get around some of the exhibits on a crowded Sunday with the double stroller. That is to be expected it any older building though. They need a few more highchairs in the food court. The food in the food court was quite good though. Not terribly over priced either. For the 5 of us it was $27. This was including our 10 percent member discount. The babies shared a slice of pizza, Alexei has a bacon cheese burger, I had a veggie burger and Brandon had Chili. We all shared 2 desserts, which we only ate 1 cupcake. A quite yummy cupcake at that! A surprisingly good Museum lunch
MOLYVOS
871 7th Ave.
After Alexei's Mom picked her up we headed to Molyvos for our dinner reservation (I had asked for a table for four 2 highchairs please!). I had read about this great Greek restaurant in a Fodor's book. Every time we move I bu a travel book of the area we are moving to so I can get a grasp of our new surroundings. I like to be able to absorb everything about where we live. Brandon and I LOVE Greek food so we had been looking forward to it all day.
When we arrived Lilly had fallen asleep. Probably because she had been running the massive halls of the Museum all day! Anyway we wanted to leave her in the stroller to sleep and we draped a coat over her to let her rest. This kid was OUT! She had been moved from the car to the stroller and up the stairs and was not waking up! The hostess helped Brandon move the stroller up the stairs and we put the stroller next to the table in the corner. The hostess said it was fine. I took Rory to the bathroom to change her and Brandon got settled.
The bathroom we soon learned had no changing area. I took some Kleenex boxes off a display table and changed her there. What is a Mommy to do. I wasn't changing her on the floor! When we got back to the table Brandon had a strange look on his face. Apparently while we were in the restroom the manager had visited our table. He had asked that we remove the stroller. Brandon had informed him that our daughter was sleeping in the stroller and that it had already been arranged with the hostess. Then he apparently huffed at him and said well at least you have to remove these coats from the stroller. To which Brandon replied "I will not remove them they are covering her." It is very hard to offend my husband. It seems to me that the manager was very strongly against us having our children or our stroller in his restaurant. We sat there and mulled this over for a few more minutes with not one waiter coming to our table. Finally Brandon went to tell the very nice hostess that we would be dining elsewhere. All this time Lilly slept and Rory never made a peep. She just smiled and drank from her sippy cup. The hostess told us to not mind him. But it was undeniable that we felt very unwelcome at Molyvos.
Our children eat everywhere and are very well behaved. It is sad to me that there are people out there that are allowed to manage a restaurant that behave this way.
FUJI SUSHI
56th street between 7th and Broadway
After leaving Molyvos and the unfriendly welcome there we were a little leery and a lot hungry. We packed up Rory and strolled back out onto the streets of NYC to find nourishment.
After trying an Italian place that was booked, and us with no reservations. I wandered into Fuji Sushi. I left Brandon outside with the girls while I went in to ask 2 questions. Do you have highchairs (yes, of course!) and can we leave our sleeping daughter in the stroller and put it next to us (yes that is fine). They also answered with a big smile. They were very welcoming so I went back out to get Brandon.
The sushi was great. We had a fabulous meal and they fawned over Rory the entire time. Lilly did eventually wake up and the girls ate 2 bowls of rice and some skewered Chicken. It really was a great experience. We even took a take out menu so we can go back and take food to go if we don't have time to sit next time were in the city. Wonderful people and food. Sometimes you end up somewhere other than where you expect but in the end it really does turn out for the best!

Salem, Ma
Last week Brandon and I took the babies to Witch City USA. It is such a cute town.
We walked all over the town in the off season. We stayed at the Salem Inn. A 1834 house that is haunted. We actually thought that it had Monsters (the Lilly monster and Rory monster variety!) and not so many ghosts! But maybe the ghosts were resting for the real tourist season. The Inn was wonderful to us. The put us on the first floor. There is no elevator so we did have to navigate the front stairs. I knew this ahead of time though, so not a problem. We parked in front and left the double stroller in the car. We just brought the girls in.
We ate at the Victoria Station in Pickering wharf the first night, Thursday. They did not allow for the stroller at the table. however they had a spot in front for it. I only bring this up because due to the price of some strollers these days some parents may not want to leave there prized possessions out of site. Also there are times when one of the girls is napping and we don't want to wake them. Therefore leaving them in the stroller is a must! The food was really good. Thursdays is all you can eat fish fry, local Haddock for $10.95. One serving was all we could eat! The girls shared a bowl of soup. We often find that they are happier and healthier with a bowl of soup that an item off the kids menu. It is often cheaper too.
The second day for lunch we ate at the fancier Finz at Pickering Wharf! This was the highlight of our trip food wise. I could have eaten here once a week. The food was so good. They sat us by the window to overlook the bay , so the girls had something to look at. They also were so kind to the girls. They really went out of there way to make them feel at home at this fine dining establishment. Did I mention the food was outstanding!
One other thing to note was that we also have a new favorite store in Salem. It is called Crunchy Granola Baby. It is a Natural Baby store. It is in Downtown Salem. A woman named Jan owns it and she is just a doll. We opened the door and she welcomed us and our massive stroller in with open arms, LITERALLY! She let Lilly run around and play while helping Brandon and I figure out how to wear the Mei tie (my favorite baby wearing device) on my back. The kicker was she didn't even sell them there! Yet she went to her computer and printed the instructions so she could help us while we were at the store. She has classes for natural ways to raise a healthy happy family. She is truly a gem. If you are in Salem you have to stop by. Maybe in a few years we will open a franchise on LI.
After that we had to leave Salem. We will return, maybe in the summer or Fall when it is a little more active. Off season was quiet and quite nice though.

Hi Everyone
I wanted to thank Everyone for stopping by. The purpose of this Blog is to give Parents a heads up on where to go for a Kid friendly experience when you travel. I can only go from our travels so feel free to pipe in with some tips if you have an exceptional or horrible experience from time to time. Also we love suggestions for when we are in your neck of the woods!
Some of the places we will be going in the next 6 months include...
NYC (We live close so we go into the city quite a bit)
Walt Disney World (pretty much our second home)
Chicago, Illinois
Oahu, Hawaii (We are spending the month of July there this year, so we will have a ton of kid friendly tips!)
Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Va
Williamsburg, Va
Salem, Ma
And we live on LI so expect there to be frequent reviews here as well.
